Our bag is a handmade bag that can be used as shoulder bags, mombags, shoppers, work bags, diaper bags, travel bags, beach bags, and more. They fit perfectly on any stroller and feature a water-resistant interior, making them suitable for on-the-go or a day at the beach. Thanks to the ever-changing prints within our collection and patterns, each bag is unique.
Product Information
Name: Batik Limited Edition Bag; the bags are made from handmade fabric from Benin. The cotton is locally harvested and turned into a plain cotton cloth. Craftswomen apply the print and dye the fabric with Batik. From start to finish, this fabric comes from Benin.
Color: The bags have an a pattern of blue batik.
Dimensions: H 45-50 cm x W 55 cm
Material: The exterior of the African bag is made of cotton. The interior of the bags is made of vegan leather, making it very easy to clean.
Inside the bag: The bag has a spacious inner pocket for your phone, wallet, or MacBook 13-inch/iPad/small laptop.
Handmade: The bags are handmade by people from Togo/West Africa. You can see and feel that the bags are handmade, as each bag is unique. Small differences between the bags reflect the fact that we work with people and not in a factory where everything is done by machines. Therefore, the patterns and unique colors may slightly differ from the images.
Please note: This bag is made from authentic, Fairtrade, handmade batik fabric, fully produced from start to finish in Benin. The cotton is sourced from Benin and dyed using traditional methods. Due to this artisanal process, the fabric may bleed color onto light-colored clothing if it becomes very damp. We recommend being cautious on rainy days or in humid environments when wearing light fabrics. Additionally, it’s important to know that this fabric is three times more expensive than the other fabrics we use, which explains the price difference. However, we believe it is important to sell this fabric, not only because it is beautiful but also because it creates significant employment opportunities in Benin.
